My Idea For Thriller Opening

Characters:

2 Teens
One Man Holding A Knife

Plot

The opening will start with a teen sleeping alone in his bedroom. (He lives in the same house as his mate who is in another room)

It is in the middle of the night and the house is completely silent.

He then hears a glass smash downstairs and wakes up suddenly. He thinks that he is just imagining it so  goes back to sleep thinking nothing of it. Shortly later he hears the same sound and wakes up again.

He then shouts "Jack!" (his mate to see if he has heard the same sound) but there is no response.

He grabs a knife and torch from inside the drawer in his room.

He decides to go and have a look to see where it is coming from.

As he opens the door in his bedroom the creaking noise from the door will be exageratted so it builds up the suspense.

He tries to walk down the stairs as slowly as he can to reduce the sound of the creaking from the stairs but each time he steps on a stair there is a load squeaky sound.

Eventually he reaches downstairs and walks slowly and quietly to the front room. Just before he opens the door there will be a close up shot on the teens facial expressions because he will be looking very nervous he slowly opens the door but it makes a load noise.

He walks in nervously into the room and looks around but there is nothing/no one there. So decides to look in the kitchen. The kitchen door is open, but as he walks closer the door slams shut. He then stands back and calms himself down.

He then walks into the kitchen and there is Jack getting a drink but he had smashed a glass on the floor by accident, but outside the window just behind him is a man with long hair standing there holding a knife.

As soon as we see the man the screen turns black and dramatic music begins.
